NOTE: The numbers on this list are from the early access launch of Darkest Dungeon 2, and they may change between the time this guide was published and the game’s official release.
Let’s go into the Darkest Dungeon 2 Grave Robber Skills List without further ado.
1. Grave Robber Skills in Darkest Dungeon 2: Pick to the Face
Pick to the Face inflicts 4–7 damage and is unaffected by block tokens.
Ranks 1-3 are usable.
Ranks 1-2 are the targets (Single Target)
Upgrade to Pick to the Face Mastery: Boosts basic damage by 4-10% and increases crit rate by 15%. When the target possesses a combination token, it has a 50% chance of crit.
This is the bread and butter assault of Grave Robber. You’ll use it a lot, but as Grave Robber’s abilities improve and she learns additional attacks, it becomes more effective as a block token bypassing attack than anything else. Overall, it’s rather nice.
2. Grave Robber Skills – Darkest Dungeon 2 Thrown Dagger
Ignores guarding tokens and does 3-5 damage. When stealthed, evasion tokens are ignored.
Ranks 2-4 are usable.
Ranks 1-3 are the targets (Single Target)
Upgrade to Thrown Dagger Mastery: Raises damage to 3-7 and increases crit rate to 30%. When the target possesses a combination token, it gains an extra +50% crit.
Review: Prior to the mastery boost, it’s essentially a lesser version of Pick to the Face or Poison Dart for scenarios requiring a rank 3 adversary to be struck. Due to its high crit rate, its damage is equivalent after the mastery boost. Overall, this isn’t one of my favorite Grave Robber abilities.
3. Grave Robber Skills in Darkest Dungeon 2 – Flashing Daggers
Enemy levels 2-3 take 2-3 damage from Flashing Daggers.
Ranks 2-4 are usable.
Ranks 2-3 are the goals (Targets All)
Mastery Upgrade for Flashing Daggers: Increases damage by 3-5 and crit rate by 10%.
Review: This is a poor talent. It’s similar to Jester’s Harvest, but without the hemorrhage. The sole use for this is to take evasion and block tokens from two foes at the same time. It’s hardly even worth a talent spot.
4. Grave Robber Skills – Darkest Dungeon 2 Poison Dart
Poison Dart inflicts a 2 damage blight and does 2-4 damage.
Ranks 2-4 are usable.
Ranks 1-4 are the targets (Single Target)
When the target possesses a combo token, the Poison Dart Mastery Upgrade boosts basic damage to 2-5, increases blight damage to 4, and grants +50% crit.
Poison Dart trumps Thrown Dagger in my opinion. It can strike any rank, delivers greater damage overall, and, like almost other DoT talents, is excellent at eliminating block tokens without compromising damage. Still, it’s not a really impressive talent. In certain circumstances, this is useful.
5. Absinthe – Grave Robber Skills in Darkest Dungeon 2
If HP is below 25%, self-heals for 33 percent health. 3 evasion tokens and a speed token are added.
Ranks 1-4 are usable.
Self-awareness
Upgrades the dodge tokens to dodge+ tokens with the Absinthe Mastery upgrade.
Review: Absinthe is a simple self-sustain skill that is rather excellent. The dodge tokens are quite handy. Dead of Night, on the other hand, is superior in my view since it heals more and features the corpse disposal feature.
6. Grave Robber Skills in Dead of Night – Darkest Dungeon 2
The effect of Dead of Night is to remove a target corpse, heal for 33% health, and provide a stealth token.
Ranks 1-4 are usable.
Ranks 1-4 are the targets (Single Target)
Mastery of the Dead of Night: Increases heal by 50% and cures 1 point of stress.
Review: Because corpses are numerous and the heal is large, this talent maintains Grave Robber at full health most of the time. Removing a corpse is a useful tool for placement, therefore it’s useful even if you don’t have the heal.
7. Grave Robber Skills – Darkest Dungeon 2 Glint in the Dark
Glint in the Dark delivers 3-5 damage, ignores stealth, and removes it. Ignores the death resistance of 20%.
Ranks 1-3 are usable.
Ranks 1-3 are the targets (Single Target)
If stealthed, the Glint in the Dark Master Upgrade increases damage to 4-6 and ignores death resistance.
Review: The major advantage of this talent is that it makes it more probable to kill an adversary without it defying death. Stealthed foes are rare, and they’re typically weak creatures with little maximum health. One of Grave Robber’s less helpful talents.
8. Lunge – Grave Robber Skills in Darkest Dungeon 2
Deals 4-8 damage with a 20% chance of crit. When stealthed, ignores dodge tokens. Moves up two ranks.
Ranks 3–4 are usable.
Ranks 1-3 are the targets (Single Target)
Upgrade to Lunge Master: Increases damage to 4-11 and crit chance to 30%. When stealthed, block tokens are ignored.
Review: Lunge is used in combination with Pirouette to go from rank 2 to rank 4. Lunge outperforms Thrown Dagger and Pick to the Face in every aspect if you execute it this way. Great talent.
9. Grave Robber Skills in Darkest Dungeon 2: Pirouette
Pirouette inflicts 4-7 damage to both rank 1-2 foes. There are two rounds of cooldown. Gives you a dodge token and puts you in a daze.
Ranks 1-2 are usable.
Ranks 1-2 are the targets (Targets All)
Damage has been boosted to 6-8 with the Pirouette Mastery upgrade. The likelihood of getting a critical hit has risen to 15%. The Dodge token has been updated to the Dodge+ token.
Review: Pirouette has the same amount of damage as Leper’s Hew. It’s really powerful, and it pairs well with Lunge if your rank 3 member works in rank 2 and your rank 4 member works in rank 3. Great talent.
10. Grave Robber Skills in Darkest Dungeon 2 – Pick to the Face
3x dodge tokens and 2x taunt tokens are given by Repartee. It is necessary to be stealthy.
Ranks 1-4 are usable.
Self-awareness
Upgrades Repartee Mastery’s dodge tokens to dodge+ tokens.
Review: If you’re taking Dead of Night instead of Absinthe, Repartee gives you the benefits of Absinthe. Even still, using Grave Robber as a tank or off-tank is a bit of a gimmick. If you have the space, it’s not a terrible ability to have.
11. Grave Robber Skills – Darkest Dungeon 2 Shadow Fade
Shadow Fade is a stealthy ability. Backs up two ranks.
Ranks 1-2 are usable.
Self-awareness
In addition to stealth, the Shadow Fade Mastery Upgrade grants a speed token.
Review: Grave Robber’s poorest talent, and perhaps the worst skill in the game, is Shadow Fade. Unless you have stealth from Dead of Night, the synergies from stealth aren’t potent enough to merit taking a turn to set them up. Spend a skill slot to squander a round by giving yourself the stealth and speed tokens? Thank you, but no thanks.
