The Name of the Game is Simplicity.
I’m not an expert at many things, but one of them may be creating amazing Protein-Packed Green Smoothie on the Keto Diets. I’ve been preparing a Green Smoothie of some kind almost every day for the last 5 years. I’ve gone through periods where I’d use 15 different ingredients in the hopes of finding the perfect balance of nutrition and flavor. However, as I grew older, I learned that most of the time, less is more, and Green Smoothie on the Keto Diets are no exception. My everyday Keto Green Smoothie recipe has been pared down to only 5 ingredients. These components, on the other hand, have been tailored to provide the most nutritious advantages while still taste delicious!
The Fabulous Five (Fab Five) (Ingredients)
- Powdered Protein
- MCT Oil
- Chia Seeds are a kind of chia seed that is
- Flaxseed Meal (or Flaxseeds)
When it comes to selecting a Keto Protein Powder, there are a few factors to consider. Carbohydrates — Of course, we’ll want to focus on the options with the fewest carbs. Whey protein has carbohydrates ranging from 0 to 10 grams per serving, with the majority of products hovering around the 5 gram level. As the number of carbohydrates per serving rises, the price decreases, so you’ll either have to spend more or do some bargain shopping to locate a low-carb protein on the cheap. I’ll provide a few suggestions for you below! Taste – If you’re new to the protein game, taste may be a major consideration. Whey Protein flavors may vary greatly from one brand to the next, so it may take a few attempts to find one you like. But don’t worry; you’ll find one, and if you have difficulty, I can suggest some of the best-tasting ones. Cost – I am a firm believer in the $10 per pound guideline. That’s where I draw the line, and I’m not going to pay another penny! Okay, I’ll go a bit over budget if my partner insists on trying the new Strawberry Cheesecake flavor, but that’s the only time! If you search for bargains online and purchase in quantity, you should be able to remain around $10 per pound. If you’re uncertain about a brand or taste, it’s worth spending a little more and buying in 1 pound increments. I’ve been chomping on substandard protein powders for months since I attempted to save money by buying in bulk… Green Smoothie on the Keto Diet Master, Just let me know which one I should get… You did, after all, ask politely… Given that you addressed me as Master, here are my suggestions for Keto-friendly protein powders. And since I like ranking things, here are my top three choices in order:
This is the best of the best. This protein powder is the peak of low carb protein powders. It has a good flavor, is easy to mix (other protein powders are clumpy), and almost makes you laugh when you read the nutrition label and see 0g carbohydrates. Please award the Nobel Prize to the individual who made 25g of milk by-product taste like a chocolate eclair. The disadvantage is that IsoPure seldom meets my $10/lb criteria. It usually costs about $15 per pound. I bought some on Amazon.com Prime Day for $9 a pound and have been carefully rationing it ever since.
TrueNutrition.com is a fantastic website that I’ve been using for almost eight years. You may make your own unique blends and select from more than 30 flavors. My prior orders had carbohydrates ranging from 0.9 to 1.6 grams per scoop. The typical 100% whey they offer costs $9 per pound. When I buy from them, I make a blend of Whey, Soy, and Rice protein, which may lower your per-pound cost to $7-$8. If you buy more than 15 pounds, you will get a 5% discount! However, you can no longer deny that you’re a “bro,” therefore it’s a two-edged sword.

This is by far the most dependable and well-reviewed protein on the market. If flavor is important to you, Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard is the product for you. Depending on the flavor, they may contain anywhere from 2 to 6 grams of carbohydrates per serving. For the solid reputation it has, this is priced extremely cheaply at $10/lb.
Kale and Spinach are the best vegetables to use in a Keto Green Smoothie. I like spinach because I prefer the flavor and it is somewhat less expensive. This dish also works well with kale; I’ve made it many times and it always turns out well. Spinach has less carbohydrates than Kale. It’s not a big issue, and I’m not one to obsess about the carb amount of superfoods, but it’s worth mentioning. Kale contains 5 grams of carbohydrates per cup, while spinach has just 1 gram. Although the fact that kale is more nutrient rich may help counter this, I still believe that spinach is the superior option. Frozen vs. Fresh Whether you use fresh or frozen depends entirely on personal taste. I used to use fresh spinach, but I’ve finally concluded that the affordability and convenience of frozen spinach are too wonderful to pass up. I like being able to pick up 10 bags at the grocery store and not have to worry about them spoiling. I just put them in the freezer and use them whenever I want. Fresh spinach has a limited shelf life, often 3-5 days. It will produce a better-tasting Keto Green Smoothie, and studies have shown that it retains more vitamins than its frozen cousin. It is entirely up to you to make your choice. Both are excellent options. Simply alter the quantity of ice you use based on whether you want fresh or frozen ice, and you’ll be fine.
The only component that cannot be substituted is MCT Oil. This substance is essential because it can resist freezing temperatures while remaining liquid. If you attempt to use Coconut Oil, for example, you’ll end up biting on large chunks of frozen oil, which isn’t exactly delicious. Medium Chain Triglycerides (MCTs) are a kind of fatty acid that is quickly absorbed by the body. MCT is a kind of fat that turns to energy quicker than any other, making it ideal for a post-workout smoothie or Bulletproof Coffee.
Where Can MCT Oil Be Purchased? MCT Oil has begun to appear in shops, however I found it to be the most affordable on Amazon. It’s now available at Whole Foods, and it should be available at other health food stores. I’ve tested three or four various Amazon brands and found that they’re all of comparable quality, so I simply buy the cheapest one. Here are some of the ones I’ve tried:
We utilize Flax Meal (ground flaxseeds) on a daily basis here. It’s in a lot of our low-carb baked products, and it’s in my smoothies all the time. Flax meal is a wonderful way to add some extra fiber, healthy fat, and vitamins and minerals into your Keto Green Smoothie. It’s also extremely cheap, with a 16oz bag costing about $5. We’ve been buying Bob’s Red Mill from Amazon recently, but it should be available in most supermarket shops. Flax Meal has 3 grams of fiber per tablespoon and just a minimal amount of carbohydrates (about 0.2g per tablespoon). If you haven’t used flax meal before, it has a light nutty flavor that complements the other ingredients in this Keto Green Smoothie recipe.
Chia Seeds, like Flax Seeds, are high in nutrients, as well as fat and fiber. Chia Seeds are the best provider of a number of essential nutrients per calorie in the world. Aside from their health benefits, they greatly enhance the flavor and consistency of the Keto Green Smoothie. They’re unusual in that if left alone for a few minutes, they gel together to create a pudding-like consistency. If I want the Chia Seeds to truly bloom, I’ll let my smoothie rest in the fridge for an hour before drinking it. I suggest leaving the ice out if you go that way. The best price I can find is on Amazon, however it’s for a 2 pound bag of them. We use these often, so a 2lb bag makes sense for us. However, you can get 6oz bags at local grocery shops for nearly the same price as the 2lb bag from Amazon if you do some research. We’ve purchased HealthWorks in the past and have been pleased with the results. It is Amazon’s cheapest choice.
